PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device equipped with a zoom mechanism capable of acquiring an objective zoom image with a small amount of zoom operation. SOLUTION: This imaging device is used for imaging an object, and recording imaged picture information in a recording medium, and characterized by including; the zoom mechanism changing the enlargement ratio of the imaged object; an operation button instructing an operation to the zoom mechanism; and a zoom operation control means executing a first operation automatically changing the enlargement ratio of the object by the zoom mechanism when the operation button is depressed in a state that the enlargement ratio is not automatically changed, and a second operation stopping the first operation changing the enlargement ratio when the operation button is depressed in a state that the enlargement ratio is automatically changed.
