PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump device certainly started with low starting current. SOLUTION: This pump device includes a plurality of pumps 1 arranged in a suction sump 20, and a control section 10 controlling operation of the plurality of pumps 1. Each of the plurality of pumps 1 has an impeller transferring water, and an electric motor 3 rotating the impeller. The control section 10 is operated in order to reduce the rotational speed of the electric motor 3 of the pump during operation or the blade angle of the impeller before at least the last one of the plurality of pumps 1 is started.
