<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionic compound being a liquid state at a normal temperature and excellent in heat resistance, and an electrolyte liquid material. <P>SOLUTION: This ionic compound consists of an anion expressed by formula (1) [wherein, X<SP>1</SP>to X<SP>3</SP>are each the same or different, a halogen atom, -CN, -OCN, -SCN, -NO, -NO<SB>2</SB>, -SO<SB>2</SB>R, -SO<SB>3</SB>R, -COR or a monovalent organic group containing them; R is H or a monovalent organic group; Q is an alkylene, alkenylene, arylene, alkynylene or the like; and (n) is 0 or 1] and an organic cation.
