PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which enables visual recognition of correspondence between input terminals and input specification keys in a remote control regardless the position of the projector body. SOLUTION: When an installed mode is set to a fundamental mode, a correspondence table PT1 becomes valid. When a PC1 specification key in a remote control 40 is operated, a control unit 20 controls so that an input selection unit 26 selects a PC1 terminal 25a. When a PC2 specification key in the remote control 40 is operated, the control unit 20 controls so that the input selection unit 26 selects a PC2 terminal 25b. On the other hand, a suspended mode is selected, a correspondence table PT2 becomes valid. When the PC1 specification key is operated, the control unit 20 controls so that the PC2 terminal 25b is selected. When the PC2 specification key is operated, the control unit 20 controls so that the PC1 terminal 25a is selected. Namely, in the suspended mode, setting of the correspondence between the PC1 specification key and the PC2 specification key, and the PC1 terminal 25a and PC2 terminal 25b is different from that in the fundamental mode.
