PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure for a heat exchanger capable of ultimately realizing a desirable seal state via a packing by preventing a defect of the precedently adhered packing during operation of positioning the heat exchanger in a predetermined position, when carrying out sealing of the heat exchanger equipped with a tank part and precedently connected to induction and delivery pipes of a heat exchange medium by using the packing with respect to a duct. SOLUTION: After moving the heat exchanger 1 precedently connected to the induction and delivery pipes 9, 10 of the heat exchange medium with respect to the tank part in a first direction 11 along one face of the duct 3, by moving it in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction 11 and heading inward of the duct 3, it is arranged in the predetermined position in the duct 3. During this, a gap between the duct 3 inner face and the tank part of the heat exchanger 1 is sealed by interposing packings 14, 16 precedently adhered to a periphery of the tank part in compressed states in the predetermined position.
