TEST METHOD FOR OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE, AND OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an optical pickup device cannot be evaluated using a fixed method, which makes it difficult to manage quality and which causes taking a long time in performance evaluation.

SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is tested by evaluating a reproduction signal using at least two or more types of test disks of a first test disk with one recording layer and a second test disk with two recording layers. By this means, the optical pickup device can be tested using the reproduction signal, so that quality of the optical pickup device can be managed using a fixed evaluation method regardless of manufacturers.
