PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure and mounting method of a rear bumper capable of improving a working efficiency by easily attaching a rear bumper to a vehicle body. SOLUTION: Supporting projections 18a are formed on both sides of an opening 12 located at the rear of the vehicle body 11, respectively. The supporting projections 18a are desirably formed on the stay 18 of a side stopper 16 for receiving both side surfaces of a back door. A surface to be supported 25a supportable on the supporting projections 18a is formed on the inner surface of the rear bumper 14. The rear bumper 14 is temporarily placed at the rear of the vehicle body 11 by supporting the surface to be supported 25a on the supporting projections 18a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
