PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save sheets by printing an image in blank space of a printing sheet. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes; a sheet storing section for storing the sheets, an image forming section for printing the image to the sheet, a sheet transporting section for taking out the sheet from the sheet storing section and transporting the sheet to the image forming section, an image reading section for reading the image which is printed beforehand and the blank region in the sheet which is taken out of the paper storing section, and a control section for controlling the image forming section so that the read image is printed in the blank region of the sheet.
