An article 10 of aquatic animal feed is provided comprising a predetermined quantity of one or more aquatic animal foodstuffs 18, 20, 22 or 24 enclosed within a water-soluble capsule 14 and 16. The capsule forms a barrier around said foodstuff during storage and dissolves when placed in water to allow dispersal of the foodstuff therefrom in use. The capsule may take the form of a hollow casing which encloses the foodstuff The capsule may comprise a gelling agent formed from a plant based material and may comprise a starch or cellulose based material or may comprise gelatin. The capsule and its contents may have a combined buoyancy less than water such that the article floats during use or it may have a combined density greater than water such that it sinks during use. |
