<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabling miniaturization of the whole apparatus by providing a gap between an image reading unit and the upper face of a peripheral unit, being compared with a case that a supporting support is integrally fixed on the peripheral unit, and facilitating mounting work of an image reading means. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a scanner 60 as an image reading device arranged through the gap upward of a composite machine body 1; a paper feeding device arranged on the lower part of the composite machine body 1; and a holding means having fixed leg parts 63, 64 by being held while mounting the scanner 60 and being inserted in a fixed part 70 provided as an integrated or separated body on the paper feed device from upward to downward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
