PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of setting the rigidity of a side part or a bead part in one width direction of a tire higher than that in the other width direction thereof, and furthermore improving weight balance and uniformity thereof. SOLUTION: Each of reinforcement layer 41, 42 is symmetrically placed in one width direction of the tire. The rigidity of the reinforcement layer 41 in a reinforcement cord extending direction is set higher than that in the reinforcement layer 42 in the reinforcement cord extending direction, thus the rigidity of a side portion or a bead portion in one width direction of the tire can be set higher than that of the side portion or the bead portion in the other width direction thereof, and weight balance and uniformity of the tire can be advantageously improved.
