PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supporting software development that improves quality of software. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for supporting the software development includes a first storage unit 5, a second storage unit 8, and an extraction unit 72. The first storage unit 5 stores state transition information represented by a state transition diagram and/or a state transition table including a state of operation of software and a plurality of state transition conditions in the specification of software. The second storage unit 8 stores extraction conditions for extracting the state transition conditions having exclusive properties among the plurality of state transition conditions included in the state transition information. The extraction unit 72 extracts the state transition conditions having exclusive properties from the state transition information on the basis of the extraction conditions.
