The wall element has a profile element (2) designed according to a type of a U-profile with two flanges (4, 6) of identical length. An intermediate flange (10) is arranged between the flanges, where the intermediate flange has a same length as the flanges. A sound-proof element is arranged between one of the flanges and the intermediate flange. The profile element is formed from a cut-to-length profiled material. The sound-proof element is glued with the profile element in a mounting position of the wall element. The wall element is formed from fiberglass reinforced plastic.
