<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying an ester, by which the highly pure ester free of anionic impurities can efficiently be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method for purifying the ester, characterized by treating the ester containing anionic impurities with a basic anion exchange resin not having an OH type strongly basic exchange group, to remove the anionic impurities. A basic anion exchange resin having inactivated OH type strongly basic exchange groups may be used. The inactivation is preferably performed by bringing the ester into contact with a basic anion exchange resin having OH type strongly basic exchange groups to inactivate the OH type strongly basic exchange groups, or by bringing the ester into contact with a neutral salt to inactivate the OH type strongly basic exchange groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
