A shoe (1) for the correction and prevention of hallux valgus, has an insole and an upper that define a seat for a foot; the seat houses a traction device (11) to maintain lateral pull on the hallux and can be opened/closed by moving a top portion of the upper; the traction device has a traction strap, which is fastened in an adjustable position to the inner surface of the top portion of the upper.
