A method for preparing functional rice containing deep ocean water is provided to dip rice grains in deep ocean water and to dry them in order to secure the high contents of mineral components. A method for preparing functional rice containing deep ocean water comprises the following steps of: dipping rice grains in deep ocean water for 3-4 hours; taking the rice grains out and drying them until the water content becomes 5-12wt%; and milling the dried rice grains, more particularly placing 200kg of rice grains in a plastic container and pouring 250 liters of deep sea water; dipping the rice grains in the deep sea water for 3 hours; taking them out and naturally drying until the water content becomes 12wt%; and milling the rice grains.
