PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device and a motor driving method for a wiper which suppress electromagnetic noise produced at the start of an electric motor. SOLUTION: A wiper device equipped with two motors R, L for operating wiper blades includes a delay part 13 for delaying start timing of the electric motor L by delaying a drive signal output from a motor drive part 12 by a prescribed time by making the start timings of the electric motors R, L different from each other so that peak values of electromagnetic noises produced at the start of the electric motors R, L do not overlap each other.
