<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell having a novel configuration of improved draining function, simplified operation, and preventing decomposition and elution of resin contained therein, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing separator for the fuel cell, consisting of a composite material of carbon powder and thermosetting resin, comprises steps of: compression-molding a molding having a gas passage groove for making flow reaction gas formed on at least one of the surfaces thereof, by using a punching die and a molding die facing each other; housing a composite material of carbon powder and thermosetting resin in a material housing part of the molding die; and by bringing the punching die relatively near to the molding die; and irradiating the internal surface of the gas passage groove with an infrared laser beam, by relatively moving the optical axis of the infrared laser beam with respect to the molded body along the gas passage groove, while irradiating the internal surface of the gas passage groove with the infrared laser beam, after the completion of the compression step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
