A method for updating channel information of a television is provided to update the channel information conveniently without confirming it one by one by executing the auto channel searching at predetermined time intervals. A microcomputer checks an update cycle(S20). If the update cycle comes, the microcomputer determines whether changed channel information exists through the auto channel searching(S30,S40). If so, the microcomputer displays the changed channel information on a screen through the OSD(On Screen Display), and then updates the channel information with the changed channel information(S80-S100). |
