A filament for electrode of hot cathode fluorescent lamp and the method manufacturing thereof are provided to increase the bond quantity of emitter by forming a filament around a reference part by a winding part. A winding part(57) is wound in a reference part(51) of a central axis. The bent part(55) is formed in one side end of the reference unit. The winding part is spiral along a part of the reference unit. The first bend part(58) is extended from the winding part. The second bent part(59) is extended from the reference unit. The reference part and winding part include a start-up wire(1) and a preheat line(5).
