<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag capable of displaying appropriate protection performance even for body conditions of a child as well as an adult sitting on a passenger seat. <P>SOLUTION: This passenger seat air bag structure for a vehicle includes; an air bag housing provided in a crush pad so as to deploy an air bag cushion upward; a gas guide tether provided inside of the air bag cushion and guiding expanding gas from the air bag housing upward; a cushion tether coupled to the gas guide tether at one end and coupled to the air bag cushion at another end; and a gas flow turning means deforming the gas guide tether by force acting on the cushion tether and changing flow of the expansion gas when the air bag is completely inflated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
