A spool brake device for dual bearing reel is provided, which prevents the power drop generated in coil by the relative rotation of magnet and coil. A spool brake device for dual bearing reel comprises: a magnet(61) having the first concave part and the second concave part in which the peripheral part of both end parts is pressed in the diametric direction; a first protection supporting member(64) and a second protection supporting member(65) of the dish-shape pinching both end parts of the magnet; a plurality of coils(62) which are serially connected; a switch member connected to both ends of a plurality of coils; and a microcomputer controlling the brake of the spool. |
