PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new means for elucidating the mechanism of a neuron new life through GPR 40 to improve the depression or obstruction of a brain function. SOLUTION: The effect of a substance to be examined as a brain function improving medicine is evaluated using the expression of GPR 40 by the substance to be examined or a change in activation level as the index.
