Disclosed is a steam ironing device (2), particularly a steam iron, comprising the following: a housing (4; 8) that is provided with a handle (6, 6a, 6b) and a rear side (H) as a supporting surface, which is designed so as to support the steam ironing device (2) and in which a closeable tubular water feed hole (10) is provided that encompasses a rearward water feed opening (10a); a water container (14) that can be hermetically disposed in the housing (4) or on the side thereof; and a rearward rotatable inlet (20) in the housing (4; 8). Said inlet (20) is fitted with a plug (22) which faces the water container (14) in the closed state of the rearward inlet (20) and which allows the rearward water feed opening (10a) to be hermetically sealed. |
