An image sensor is provided to improve a noise about a CMOS image sensor by applying a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) with high noise resistance to a pixel region. An image sensor is comprised of a peripheral region(100) and a pixel region including a CCD, and a CMOS device. The CCD is equipped in the outer part of the pixel region. A signal processor performs the signal processing by the incident light to the image sensor in the peripheral region. The signal processor removes the signal with a larger signal value than the signal generated in the CCD by comparing the signal from the CMOS device with the signal from the CCD when the incident light to the image sensor does not exist. The signal processor converts the only signal from the CMOS device to a color signal when the incident light is inputted to the image sensor.
