An online chatting system for a person who connects to a web page and a method thereof are provided to construct an online chatting unit between an operator of the web page and the person without installing a separate program by selecting a web server or TCP socket server depending on whether a fire wall exists. A web server(200) connects to a connector client and an operator client. The web server comprises the followings: an ID generator(210) for generating an ID corresponding to the connector client; a database(240) for associating the conversation contents which are received from the connector client and operator client with the ID and then storing the associated result; and a chatting content manager(250) for periodically providing the stored conversation contents to the connector client and operator client. |
