An electrode tab for a secondary battery and a secondary battery using the same are provided to improve an electrode assembly from being damaged by an electrode tap because the deformation of the electrode tap is easily made when the electrode assembly is transformed by the external pressure. An electrode tab(17) for a secondary battery is equipped with a first groove(17a) formed in a longitudinal direction of the electrode tap. When one first groove is formed, the first groove is positioned at the center based on the width of the electrode tap. When a plurality of first grooves is formed, the first groove is formed with the regular interval based on the width of the electrode tap. The electrode tap further includes one or a plurality of second grooves formed in a width direction of the electrode tap. |
