METHOD FOR GENERATING VASCULAR CONDUIT

A method for generating the vascular conduit intraoperatively consists in assessing the required diameter of the vascular polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) prosthesis for connecting the outlet of the right ventricle with the pulmonary artery. PTFE prosthesis is turned inside out and put onto Gegar forceps of the suitable diameter. The cusp is sewed into the external wall, then the prosthesis with the attached cusp is put off the forceps and inverted again generating the vascular conduit with the cusp.
