PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammer grab capable of surely preventing a hydraulic pipe tube, a power cable, and wire which are connected to a shell drive mechanism from being twisted and broken. SOLUTION: A shell mounting frame 3 is secured to the lower end part of a cylindrical base frame 2. A plurality of shells 4, 4 are pivotally mounted on the shell mounting frame 3. A shell openably driving cylinder 5 is disposed in the cylindrical base frame 2. A lifting frame 6 is liftably installed in the cylindrical base frame 2. The lower end of the cylinder 5 is connected to a connection rod 8 so connected to the inside of the lifting frame 6 through a bearing 7 as to be rotated relative to each other. The inner shaft body 9a of a swivel mechanism 9 comprising the inner shaft body 9a and an outer cylindrical body 9b rotatably fitted onto the inner shaft body is coaxially connected to the upper end of the cylinder 5. The outer cylindrical body 9b is secured to the cylindrical base frame 2. A suspension connection part 10 is formed on the upper end side of the inner shaft body 9a. The lifting frame 6 and the shells 4, 4 are interlocked with each other through a link mechanism 12.
