The invention relates to a front crossbar (10) for an automobile, to be secured via deformable structures (12) to the front end of the side rails of the vehicle, wherein the crossbar (12) includes a sheet-metal tubular structure shaped so as to obtain a mainly rectangular section. According to the invention, at least one wall (20) of the crossbar includes a portion (22) extending beyond the mainly rectangular section of the tubular structure of the crossbar (10) that defines a fin along said crossbar. |
