A novel compound having excellent activation to glucokinase is provided to prevent and treat diabetes, the complication of diabetes or obesity by activating the glucokinase. An indole compound having glucokinase activation is denoted by the chemical formula 1. A pharmaceutical composition for the glucokinase activation comprises a compound of the chemical formula 1, its pharmaceutically allowable salt or isomer and pharmaceutically allowable carrier. The diseases caused by the decrease of glucokinase activation is diabetes, the complication of diabetes, or obesity. The diabetes is type one diabetes or type two diabetes. The complication of diabetes is neurological disease, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, retinopathy or renal failure.
