Use of a metallic organosilicate polymer for the protection of compounds that are sensitive to oxidation and/or electromagnetic radiation

Use of at least a metallic organosilicate polymer compound (A) in the form of particles, for the protection of a compound sensitive to oxidation and/or electromagnetic radiation, is claimed. Use of at least a metallic organosilicate polymer compound (A) of formula (R 4Si 4Al 2O 8(OH) x) (I) or (R 8Si 8M 6O 1 6(OH) y) (II) in the form of particles, for the protection of a compound sensitive to oxidation and/or electromagnetic radiation, is claimed. R : alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or benzyl (all optionally substituted); x : >= 2; y : >= 4; and M : Ca, Mg, Zn and/or Sr. In (I), where the Si/Al ratio is 1.8-1.3. In (II), the Si/M ratio is 1.8-1.3. Independent claims are included for: (1) a fluorescent composition comprising particles of organic fluorophore compound and particles of metallic organosilicate polymer compound; (2) a marking composition comprising the fluorescent composition; and (3) a composition for protecting against UV radiation comprising 2-(2'-hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl) benzotriazole and particles of metallic organosilicate polymer compound.
