A pigment dispersion system, an ink composition for the preparation of a color filter containing the dispersion system, and a method for encapsulating a pigment are provided to improve dispersion for preventing the agglomeration of pigment dispersion particles. A pigment dispersion system comprises the pigment encapsulated by the physical adsorption of the diblock copolymer is represented by -(A)m-(B)n-, wherein -A- is a hydrophilic monomer within the diblock copolymer; -B- is a hydrophobic monomer within the diblock copolymer; m is an integer of 1-10; n is an integer of 3-30; and the -A- groups between the adjacent diblock copolymers are crosslinked by a crosslinking agent.
