<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control of an air conditioner capable of alleviating a user's operation load. <P>SOLUTION: The remote control 1 of the air conditioner 100 comprises a display part 32 and a control part 60. The display part 32 can display a general display screen 32a and a selection screen. The selection screen is composed of a plurality of layers of displays. The selection screen has a first display 32b. In the first display 32b, the setting of an operation mode and the setting of a function other than the operation mode are included in the same hierarchy. The control part 60 controls the display operation of the display part 32 so as to display the general display screen 32a when the operation mode setting is selected and the operation mode is executed.
