PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience for a user, in an image forming device provided with a secondary battery (capacitor) having a shut-down means for protecting a harddisk. SOLUTION: The image forming device allows the user to assign optionally or stepwise a charge accumulating amount (or charge accumulating time) accumulated in the secondary battery when shut down. The charge accumulating amount or the charge accumulating time in the secondary battery can be thereby regulated within an allowance range of the user, and a start-up time or worsening of productivity can be thereby regulated within an allowance range of the user, at the same time, when starting up a main body in the next.
