FIELD: mechanics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and may be used for cutting metal bars of for example, round, square and hexahedral cross sections. According to the invention, the tool consists of a pair of cutting blades, which are hinge connected between each other in their middle part by means of side plate caps. Free ends of blades are provided with jaws having sharpened surfaces. There are circular recesses on cutting blade ends linked with coupled power levers. The circular recesses are designed for axes when power levers swing in counter direction with regard to each other. They ensure constant contact with cutting blades when power levers turn and fix the said levers in extreme positions. The side plate caps are realised as isosceles triangles having concave recess in their basis. The top of triangle is directed to the side of power levers. The triangle contacts the said power levers permanently. For this purpose the edges of side plate caps are made circular and concave at the top with arch radius being equal to the radius of power levers rounding in the point of their mutual contact. ^ EFFECT: increased critical cross section of cutting blades, reduced specific consumption of metal and widened process capabilities. ^ 5 dwg |
