METHOD OF DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR HEARTWORM INFECTION USING ANTIGEN FROM WOLBACHIA SURFACE PROTEIN

A diagnosis method of dirofilaria immitis infection is provided to verify the reaction to specific primer which targets a DNA of surface protein and diagnose the infection by dirofilaria immitis with high sensitivity and accuracy. A method for early diagnosing dirofilaria immitis comprises: a step of amplifying a sequence isolated from blood with a sequence of 5'-TAGCTACTACATTCGCTTGCA-3' and 5'-CCAACAGTGCCATAAAGAAC-3' through PCR; and a step of detecting the PCR product by electrophoresis. A DNA fragment used in a kit for the diagnosis of dirofilaria immitis infection is performed by the PCR with a primers 5 '-TAGCTACTACATTCGCTTGCA-3' and 5'-CCAACAGTGCCATAAAGAAC-3'.
