<p>A license plate display assembly comprising a housing having a backing element, a front element engagable -with the backing element which co operate to form a peripheral wall defining an internal space. The lighting means is capable of illuminating the internal space and the retaining means associated with the assembly receives and retains a license plate which is illuminated by the light means. The housing is manufactured from a translucent material which allows light from the light source to illuminate the sign so that when the sign is placed in the retaining means the light source illuminates the sign from the rear to allow night and improved day visibility of the sign.</p> |
