PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-carrier transmission system having a low power sleep mode and a rapid activation function. SOLUTION: A multi-carrier transceiver provides a sleep mode in which a state of power consumption being reduced without working is maintained when data transmission and reception is not needed. A perfect transmission and reception function of the transceiver is to be rapidly recovered if needed without requesting perfect (and time consuming) initialization which is normally needed for recovering these transceiver relating to an operation after deactivation.
