PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a new channel to a channel map with excellent convenience. SOLUTION: The MPU (micro processing unit) 11 of a digital broadcast receiver includes: a channel acquisition section 112 for acquiring channel number information corresponding to services receivable via a receiving section 14; an identification information determination section 113 for determining whether the acquired channel number information matches any one of a plurality of channel number information items stored in a channel storage section 122; a storage necessity determination section 116 for accepting an operation input from a user via a remote controller 2 when it is determined that the acquired channel number information does not match any information item, and determining whether to store the acquired channel number information in the channel storage section 122 on the basis of the accepted operation input; and a channel recording section 117 for recording the acquired channel number information in the channel storage section 122 when it is determined to store the acquired channel number information therein.
