<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium absorption promoter having high safety and an excellent calcium absorption-promoting effect, and beverages and foods by using the same, although as the active ingredient promoting the absorption of calcium, there are in addition to conventional vitamin D and lactose, e.g. a peptide derived from a bone, butyric acid, a galacto-oligosaccharide, a protein originated from a cod or krill, water-soluble chitosan, a macromolecular fraction of soybean milk, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This calcium absorption promoter comprises an extract of the fruit body of Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii.
