PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a governor for an elevator allowing a one-person work at a maintenance and inspection time, with inexpensive manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In this governor, an operation piece 33 which is normally held at a standby position and is moved to an operation body 21 side at the maintenance and inspection time is provided at outer peripheral positions of governor weights 15A and 15B. At the maintenance and inspection time, claw parts 18A of the governor weights 15A and 15B and the operation body 21 are engaged to each other via the operation piece 33. In a spindle 14 for rotatably supporting a sheave 11, a holding tool 50 is provided to hold the position of the operation piece 33 when the operation piece 33 is moved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
