PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a question-answering device capable of outputting answer information corresponding to non-factoid type question information. SOLUTION: This question-answering device has: a question information reception part 11 for receiving the non-factoid type question information; a classification part 12 for imparting one of pieces of classification information showing classification to the question information; a term extraction part 13 for extracting a term from the question information; an association information storage part 14 for storing association information for associating the classification information and an additional term; an answer information acquisition part 16 for acquiring the answer information showing an answer corresponding to the question information from a corpus by using the additional term associated to the classification information imparted by the classification part 12 by the classification information, the term extracted by the term extraction part 13, the corpus stored in a corpus storage part 15, and an expression according to a classification result by the classification part 12, the term extracted by the term extraction part 13, the corpus stored in a corpus storage part 15, and an expression according to a classification result by the classification part 12; and an answer information output part 17 for outputting the answer information acquired by the answer information acquisition part 16.
