PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas adsorbent which exhibits excellent adsorptive performance to acid malodorous gas of acetic acid or the like and aldehyde-based malodorous gas and the gas adsorptive performance of which is hardly deteriorated by heat. SOLUTION: The gas adsorbent is obtained by depositing an organic silicon compound having an amino group and/or an imino group on a carrier and neutralizing a part or the whole of the amino group and/or the imino group by using at least one acid selected from the group consisting of carbonic acid, formic acid and acetic acid.
