<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organometallic complex and an organic light-emitting element emitting high efficiency and high luminance light and having durability. <P>SOLUTION: The organometallic complex has a structure expressed by general formula (1): ML<SB>m</SB>L'<SB>n</SB>(1). The organometallic complex is usable as a light-emitting material of a light-emitting element. In the formula (1), M is a metal atom selected from Ir, Pt, Rh, Os and Zn; L and L' are each different bidentate ligand; m is an integer of 1-3; n is an integer of 0-2; m+n is 3; the partial structure ML<SB>m</SB>is the structure expressed by general formula (2); and the partial structure ML'<SB>n</SB>is a structure containing a monovalent bidentate ligand. In the formula (2), A is a structure having benzo[f]quinoline, benzo[h]quinoline, benzo[f]isoquinoline or benzo[h]isoquinoline as a principal skeleton; and B is an aryl group which may have a substituent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
