<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress smear on a cable laid on an outer cover while also suppressing increase of cost. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: (a) a first housing having a reading part for reading a document; (b) a second housing connected to the first housing through a first cable, and having an image forming part for forming an image based on the document read by the reading part; (c) a connection part provided to either of the first housing or the second housing, to which a plurality of cables including the first cable are connected; (d) an outer cover fixed to the housing to which the connection part is provided, and forming in an integrated manner an aperture of a fan that passes the air to be exhausted to the outside of the housing by the fan disposed inside the housing, and a cable guide located around the aperture of the fan for guiding at least one of the cables laid on the outer cover of the plurality of the cables so that the cable does not straddle the aperture of the fan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
