A mobile terminal for use with a cellular or mobile telecommunications network includes a normal execution environment (operating system) 30 and a secure execution environment 32 comprising a Mobile Trusted Module (MTM). In this environment, a method is provided of securely providing an executable engine to a terminal, the terminal adapted for use with a cellular or mobile telecommunications network and including a secure execution environment and a removable storage device, the storage device containing address data and customized data relating to the functional engine the method including: establishing a communication between the removable storage device and the terminal, when the removable storage device is associated with the terminal; and using the address data to retrieve additional data from one or more remote locations, such that both the customized data and the additional data are required for the execution of the functional engine on the terminal. |
