Manufacture and application of a polyamide antiblock master batch

Producing a polyamide-antiblock masterbatch comprises incorporating 4-23 wt.% non-surface-treated, synthetic, amorphous, finely divided silica into a carrier polyamide in a single extrusion pass using a double-screw extruder with a processing length of at least 40 times its diameter. The silica is fed to different zones of the extruder through at least two dosing sites, one of which is a side feeder.
