<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new UDP-glucuronyl transferase with broad substrate specificity, a method for producing the same, and use thereof. <P>SOLUTION: This new UDP-glucuronyl transferase is originated from Sesamum indicum of Pedaliaceae, Scutellaria laeteviolacea v. yakusimensis of Labiatae or Antirrhinum majus of Scrophulariales. The UDP-glucuronyl transferase is produced with a coliform which is subjected to genetic transformation by a predetermined polynucleotide which encodes the UDP-glucuronyl transferase.
