PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzer capable of improving analysis accuracy by preventing displacement of an analysis tool, in any form of the analysis tool placing a sample. SOLUTION: The analyzer for optical measurement of the sample placed in optically transparent cells of the analysis tool, includes a light source unit 8, a light-receiving unit 9, a tray 1 for placing the analysis tool, and a drive mechanism 10 for driving the tray 1. The tray 1 includes a holding section 2 holding the analysis tool in a predetermined position. The drive mechanism 10 reciprocates the tray 1 between a first position where the analysis tool placed on the tray 1 is exposed to the outside of the analyzer and a second position where the analysis tool is accommodated inside the analyzer. The light source unit 8 is disposed so that emitted light is incident on a cell of the analysis tool when the tray 1 is located in the second position.
